Der Box-Plot (auch: Boxplot, Box-Whisker-Plot, Kastendiagramm) wurde von John W. Tukey als graphisches Mittel zur Veranschaulichung gewisser Kenngrößen einer Stichprobe eingeführt. Er zeigt unter anderem den kleinsten und den größten Stichprobenwert sowie den Stichprobenmedian und die Stichprobenquartile an. In diesem Video wird das Konzept des Box-Plots vorgestellt, und es wird anhand eines Beispiels gezeigt, dass man mithilfe von Box-Plots schnell einen visuellen Eindruck der Unterschiede mehrerer Stichproben erhält.
