Seit 2007 vergibt das Präsidium des KIT den Fakultätslehrpreis für herausragende Lehre. Mit dem Fakultätslehrpreis wird ein sichtbares Zeichen gesetzt, um den hohen Stellenwert der Lehre am KIT zu betonen. Der Fakultätslehrpreis ist mit 10 000 Euro dotiert und wird jährlich in den elf KIT-Fakultäten ausgelobt.
