Beschreibung

Video of flow boiling under forced convection in an annular gap. It was recorded for different applied heating powers until critical heat flux (CHF) was reached. The measuring position is at the top vertical position of the heated test rod. The flow direction is vertical from bottom to top. The CHF occurs as departure from nucleate boiling (DNB). At the end of each video the boundary conditions are described. Deionized water was used as test medium.

The whole series was recorded on the test facility COSMOS-L of the Institute for Thermal Energy Technology and Safety (ITES).
